Fortuna Wash Family Hike

This hike is perfect for the whole family ages 5 and up. Come and join our guides as we trek through Fortuna Wash at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 6. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes and bring sunscreen. Transportation will be provided to the hiking spot from the Yuma Readiness & Community Center. The fee is just $5 per person.

This hike is geared for beginners and transportation will return to the Yuma Readiness & Community Center by 10:30am.  It seems like it is comparable to the Painted Desert Trail in difficulty and hike distance.  I looked everywhere for more information on where this trail is, and the best answer I got from the Parks & Recreation office is that it's off of Hwy 95 near the Mesa De Sol community and only about a 20 minute drive from the Yuma Readiness & Community Center, so it's much closer than the Painted Desert Trail.
