To Vaccinate or not Vaccinate - that is the question
First off, I'd just like to lay it out there that I try to be open minded about the choices people make regarding vaccinations. Both of my boys have had full doses of everything I was told to give them and I have no regrets, but I also never did any research to make a decision beyond the recommendation of my pediatrician. I am however, always interested in hearing other people's stories about the decisions they've made and why. My friend Erika posted this video and I thought I would share it and hope that it can bring out a "positive" discussion among us moms. Please be respectful when commenting, but I would love it if you posted about your vaccination decisions.

The program is for any parent within Yuma County that has a child 0-5. During the home visits, they do the same concept as the class only in the comfort of the families home and they also use the brain boxes. Summer break is in full effect, are you going crazy yet?
School is out for summer and it can be very exciting at first, but after a week (or a day or two), it becomes a bit exhausting. If you're finding this is true for you, be sure to check out the parks and rec activity guide. I post about many of the Parks & Rec activities on YumaMom.com, but there is much, much, more to choose from.
Click here to view the guide online. To register for these classes, you may call them at (928) 373-5243, but it can be difficult to get through and expect to be on hold for a while. You can also register in person at the City Hall. Or you can register online through Active.com. If you choose to register through Active.com, just type in the name of the class as show in the activity guide into the Active.com search box and it should come up. There is an additional $2 processing fee for using their services unless you join and pay a membership fee through Active.com. Even if you don't plan to register through Active.com, it's a great way to find out if the classes you're interested in are full or not.
La Leche League (breastfeeding support group) of Yuma

Step2 Push Around toys Recalled!
The yellow knob pin can become loose and allow the handle to separate from the buggy. Affected buggies have pins with yellow plastic knobs on the back of the buggy attaching the handle to the buggy. If the handle of your buggy attaches with a bolt and screw, you have a new design and your buggy is not involved in this recall.
Click here for more information from Step2 regarding this recent recall.
