"Thankfully all the studios in Yuma are really good but I can only speak from experience with the one I went to and that's Dawn's Dance Studio. All the instructors there are so nice and it was SUPER affordable.

"Dawns Dance Studio is fantastic. My youngest daughter started last year and the eldest has been going for over 3 years now. The teachers are fantastic and there is a wonderful family environment. Plus, there are a variety of classes to choose from. I can't say enough wonderful things about this dance studio. And, the teachers have all been dancing for decades, some even on the professional stage."

"My daughter enjoyed Yuma Ballet Academy."

"We love Yuma Ballet Academy. Miss. Emma teaches the little ones and she is amazing. They love her! The training is top notch and our older dancers have opportunities to dance around the country. Miss. Kathy brings in professional dancers and choreographers throughout the year so the older girls get a chance to work with people recognized in the arts for their work. The Dancer's Workshop of Yuma, Home of JAMS Dance Co.

The Dancer's Workshop
3780 S. 4th Ave, Suite 1
(928) 314-3262

Yuma Moms speak out.  See what other moms had to say about The Dancer's Workshop of Yuma, Home of JAMS Dance Co:

"Both of my girls go to JAMS and have for the past two years. We love it! More affordable than some others and the instructors treat the kids like their own."

"My 8 year old was enrolled in JAMS Dance Studio for several months. The price was very affordable. However, I wasn't happy with the instructor at all. She constantly criticized the kids and made my daughter cry on several occasions. I sat in on almost every lesson and honestly never once heard her compliment any of the students. She's a very knowledgeable teacher, though, which I liked. I just thought she lacked a lot of compassion and skills with how to properly deal with and motivate children."

Dancemakers of Yuma

928-783-7754
1420 S Avenue B Yuma, AZ 85365

Yuma Moms speak out.  See what other moms had to say about Dancemakers:

"We tried Dancemakers and had a truly horrible experience. Every time I took my daughter to class, there was a different instructor or they were having to change the schedule and change her class to a different day or time. Way too inconsistent for young kiddos in my opinion. So when I canceled her classes over the phone, I got a bill in the mail two months later showing that I owed for two months of tuition plus late fees because I didn't cancel in writing."

"I've taken my daughters to dancemakers. I love it, they are affordable, each teacher does excellent according to the childs age and dance level. This year my three daughters will be attending."

Yuma moms speak out.  Find out what other moms had to say about Arizona Classical Ballet:

"I have 4 sons, and they dance at Arizona Classical Ballet. My oldest son is becoming quite a talented adult male ballet dancer and prefers classical ballet, which is why ACB is a great place to dance.  For younger boys who want to do hiphop or breakdance, ACB has a great teacher. We have looked at almost all the dance studios in Yuma and none of them has a hiphop class that is truly for boys except ACB. They also offer worship dance with Miss Barbara."

WANTED: Dance Studio Feedback

so you think you your child can DANCE?

I've always loved to dance and took dance lessons as a child too.  But with two rough and tumble boys, I'm pretty clueless about the dance studios in Yuma and I'm not alone.  Yuma seems to have several to choose from, from those that specialize in ballet, to those that offer jazz and tap too.

Yuma moms want your feedback about the experiences you've had with the dance studios in Yuma.  Please post a comment about the dance studio(s) you taken your children to and let us know what you liked/didn't like.  What kind of commitment and costs are involved?

Please post your comments under this blog, add it to the discussion board on Facebook, or email it to me.  I'll then repost your comments under posts for each dance studio.  All reviews will be anonymous when reposted.  Thanks in advance for helping other Yuma moms decide which dance studio is right for them.
