Saturday, August 28th, 11:00am - 4:00pm

Clear out your clutter and bring home some cash. $10 per 8′ table (provided). Booth set-up, 8am-11am. Public is invited to browse/shop from 11am-4pm, with admission to Yuma Civic Center of $1. Concessions will be available, including hot meals, cold beer, and frozen margaritas. Free parking. The Salvation Army will pick up any unwanted items at the end of the meet. Back to School Shopping deals this week

Thank you for the great responses to my earlier post about the best Back To School shopping deals.  After reading, I headed to Staples, but thought things seemed a little high, so I headed over to Walgreens and completed part of my list.  Later, I read a comment from Jen H. that the Staples deals were really good, so I must have missed them.  I noticed at Walgreens that the sticker price often did not reflect the actual sale price, so keep your Sunday circulars with you when you shop!

If you haven't started your back to school supply shopping yet, then you're in luck because it seems many of the great deals start TODAY!  Even if you don't have school age children, this is a great time to buy crayons, paper, scissors, markers, etc. because the prices are SOOO good.  Crayons also make great additions to birthday goodie bags, so stock up now.  And with prices this low, it's a great opportunity to buy extra so you have them when the teacher sends a note home saying that they're out of crayons and need more and/or donate them to the "Drive for School Supplies."  Here's just a few of the weekly deals.  Click on the stores' weekly ads to see more.

Have you been enjoying the free samples at Walmart lately?  My boys were much easier to shop with when they were "sampling" chocolate covered Oreos recently - lol!!!  I had no idea that they have a schedule listed online so you can see what samples they'll be having until I saw a post on Hip2Save.com.  Scroll down to see some of the ones that will be coming to Yuma.  I'm excited about the free dish soap and the sample of pet food.  Not sure why the Walmart in the Foothills isn't listed for any of these.  Has anyone seen free sample stations at the Walmart out there?

My school supply list is in hand.....but where to shop?  Yuma moms, who in Yuma has the best prices on school supplies?  Walmart? Target?  Walgreens?  Big Lots?  So many places, so little desire to drag my kids all over town so that I can save 25 cents on crayons.  Thanks!
